Holy Spirit confirm in us:
God’s love for each of us just as we are.
Holy Spirit, confirm in us:
your peace when we are anxious;
the humility to recognise our faults;
the courage to ask forgiveness;
the desire to care for God’s creation
and a compassionate heart for all who suffer.
Holy Spirit, confirm in us:
the gift of Understanding
to know what it is you wish for us in life;
the gift of Wisdom to make good choices;
the gift of Fortitude to do what we know is right;
the gift of Faith to always seek you
and the gift of Awe and Wonder
to never stopped being amazed by
the beauty of creation, the goodness of people
and the wonder of life itself.
Holy Spirit, confirm in us the desire:
to follow you faithfully,
to serve you joyfully,
to give generously,
to live responsibly
and to possess sensibly
so that, through our lives,
your kingdom may come and your will may be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
